Omar Sequera is a Spanish entrepreneur and technologist with a strong track record in software development, digital transformation and innovation in the energy sector. Educated in Scotland and with advanced studies at Oxford University and the Atlantic Institute of Government, Omar has co-founded and led several innovative projects, including the award-winning startup Quixotic Energy,, specializing in software solutions for energy marketers and energy communities.

Educación

Omar Sequera completed an HNC in Software Development and Management at Edinburgh College, where he also held the role of International Student Officer. He later broadened his knowledge in technology with an executive program in Blockchain Strategy at the Saïd Business School at Oxford University, a course that gave him a deep understanding of how blockchain technology can transform diverse industries, from energy to telecommunications.

Experiencia Profesional

Throughout his career, Omar has held marketing and operations leadership positions at renowned companies such as Bacardi and the Gordon Ramsay Group, where he led experiential marketing initiatives and improved operational standards. On the technology side, he was Director of Marketing and Communications at Cuboh, a SaaS platform for the restaurant industry, backed by Y Combinator. In addition, Omar has been a fervent investor in Hard Choices Ventures and co-founder of Calibre 360, a consulting firm focused on digital transformation.

Omar is also co-founder of the NGO Todos al Cole (Education Everywhere),, which is dedicated to improving education and nutrition for children in India.
